Bed & Breakfast (English version)
In 2017 we started making our dream come true. We always liked to invite family and friends and spoil them at our place in The Hague. Now the time has come to invite you at our Bed & Breakfast in our late nineteenth century home and we want to give you our hospitality. For 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 we got the Guest Review Award at Booking.com, for 2024 a 9,1. One can also opt for the spacious King Suite (second floor) and our beautiful room Wilhelmina (third floor) with roof terrace, both with their own bathrooms and toilets.
Room
The room Emma at our Bed & Breakfast is a small room of nearly 10m2, located on the second floor. The comfortable room is provided with two beds (90x190cm), television, WiFi. A sink, shower and a private toilet located just outside the room. The room most suitable for guests looking for a short city trip.
The room Wilhelmina is a larger room of 15m2 on the third floor, equipped with a boxspring (160x200cm) and a cozy sitting area with Nespresso machine, kettle, flat screen television, WIFI, bathroom and toilet. The room also has a beautiful roof terrace with city view.
The King Suite is a luxury suite with french balcony of 22m2 on the second floor, equipped with a boxspring (160x200cm) and a sitting area at a fireplace with Nespresso machine, kettle, flat screen television, WIFI, bathroom and toilet.
There are towels and soap for your convenience. Breakfast is served if wanted in the morning in our cosy dining room or at the terrace. When you have special requests, do not hesitate to ask
us. We would be happy to accommodate you.

Our Bed & Breakfast is located at Emmastraat 1A in the neighbourhood Bezuidenhout in The Hague.
The room will be available from 16.30 till 18.00 hrs or on apointment and the room needs to be vacated at 10.30 hrs.
From Monday through Friday between 9.00 till 14.00 o'clock there is a paid parking policy in the street.
We do not allow childeren and pets in our Bed & Breakfast.
The Hague
The Hague, the city of the famous Dutch writer Couperus, is conveniently close to the Dutch coast. It is the seat of the Dutch Government and Houses of Parliament. It is also the residence of the
Dutch King, meaning there are several palaces, next to the foreign embassies and stately lanes with ancient houses.
Our city has two seaside resorts; Scheveningen and Kijkduin, which have beautiful beaches and dunes.
Our city has a lot of big and small museums, for example the world-famous Mauritshuis (with "The girl with a pearl earring" from Vermeer and "The Bull" from Potter), the Gemeentemuseum (with the
"Victory Boogie Woogie" from Mondriaan), The Mesdag Collection with the spectacular Panorama of Mesdag, Escher in the Palace, Prison gate museum, The Galerie of Prince Willem V, Louwman (Car)
Museum, The Hague Historical Museum and several others.
The Hague is proud of its international links, which can be seen in the several courts of justice such as the International Criminal Court and the International Court of Justice.
Our Bed & Breakfast is conveniently centrally located, whilst also being close to the main road entrance of The Hague "De Utrechtsebaan" and at walking distance of The Hague Central Station.
The city centre, with its bustling streets and large choice in shops is, as well as the museums and cafes and restaurants is a pleasant 15 minute walk from our Bed & Breakfast.
Even nearer to our Bed & Breakfast is the pleasant neighbourhood street, the Theresiastraat which has a large diversity in cafe's and restaurants.
Breakfast
In the morning we provided a full breakfast in our cosy dining room or at the terrace of our colourful garden. Breakfast is served from 7.30 till 10.30 o'clock.
We do not accept credit cards, please pay breakfast and diner in cash at departure.
NB. For hygienic reasons, we do not allow guests eat in your room.
Prices and payment
The price for our Bed & Breakfast (Emma, Wilhelmina and King Suite) is EUR 97, EUR 126 and EUR 138 for the room per night. This excludes breakfast. The minimum period to stay is two nights, except weekends. Prices do not include city tax, which is EURO 6,00 in 2024. Our prices during summerholidays, national holidays and other special dates it can be higher, we will inform you of this when booking.
Prices for a full breakfast is EUR 17,50 per person.
Fullpayment must be made within three days to make your reservation final, and be transferred by bank. Breakfast can be paid cash during your stay at Emma's B&B. Please make your reservation through by clicking on the button "Contact" on the website and by filling in your request in the form. Only after payment your reservation is definitive.
Cancellation is free of charge until three days before arrival. You will be charged 100 % of your stay if you cancel within three days before arrival.
Terms, conditions and house rules
- Emma’s B&B will tell you which rooms can be visited at the Bed & Breakfast and at what time it can be used.
- We do not allow children or pets at Emma’s B&B.
- Guests are not allowed to come in other rooms than the guests room without invitation of Emma’s B&B.
- You are welcome to stay in our garden when we are at home in Emma’s B&B.
- Please keep your room tidy during your visit. So it isn't allowed to taak food or drinks up into your room and keep down the noise in and around your room, especially after 11 pm till 8 am, for other guests who wanted tot sleep.
- The room can only be used by our guests, no other person(s) are allowed in our home during your stay.
- Smoking and burning candles is not allowed inside Emma’s B&B.
- Emma’s B&B is not responsible for damage, lost or theft from the properties of the guests. By disputes all costs will be for your own expenses.
- Emma’s B&B is not responsible for malfunction in or out Emma's B&B for example power outage, Wifi interference, water outage or technical failure, also not for sudden construction work in the surroundings of Emma’s B&B.
- Staying at Emma’s B&B is for your own risk at any time.
- Damage or loss of the movable and immovable property of Emma’s B&B has to be reported and paid immediately by the guests to Emma’s B&B. When we find out that there is any damage of our guestroom after you left and it was not reported to Emma’s B&B, we shall send you the bill for repairing or replacement.
- Emma’s B&B is allowed to deny access to guests immediately when they have antisocial or inappropriate behavior or don't follow our conditions and house rules, without notice and reasoned and without refund of accommodation.

Complains
Guests are always entitled to submit a complaint at Emma’s B&B. Emma’s B&B will take adequate treatment and deal with it following standards of reasonableness and fairness and we will inform you. -
Privacy
Emma’s B&B will only use personal data for the night compulsory register, all confidential and it will not be freely available to third parties.
